Circular economy does not mean the absence of waste

On Friday, 19 May 2017, the RoRec Association participated in the event “The Wall of Indifference”, having as a subject of debate “Circular economy does not mean the absence of waste”, held at the Great Hall of the Braila Prefecture.

Three young orators from the “Gh.M.Murgoci” Brăila National College, finalists of the public discourse contest, held an essay on the circular economy. The three speeches were:

  • “The Small Steps Policy “, Nicoleta Sima (1st place)
  • “We see in the future what we leave behind”, Cristian Badulescu (2nd place)
  • “The Road to Recycling”, Adina Iuliana Calu (3rd Place)

The RoRec Association participated in this event as a partner and member of the jury, supporting projects that essentially aim at educating young people about the importance of waste collection and recycling and building a fair attitude to protect the environment and land resources among students in pre-university education, and not only.

The Seniors Citizens Initiative Association is the European coordinator of the Erasmus + UUD project – “A Free World” under the umbrella of which the event “The Wall of Indifference” took place.
