The battery collection network and Eco Zone expanded to 2,550 locations

The battery collection network has added over 120 more locations from April to date, due to the agreements signed with another 90 partners. Thus, people who want to dispose responsibly of waste batteries and accumulators can go to the drop-off points from 1,755 locations in the main retail chains, companies, education institutions or gas stations.

The Eco Zone was also extended with other 112 locations, during the same period, reaching a total of 444 points where batteries, light bulbs and other small waste electrical and electronic appliances are collected.

The collected batteries, portable accumulators, light bulbs and neon lights, as well as small WEEE will be sent for recycling according to the environmental rules, to provide a healthier environment and to recover some of the components that can be reintroduced in the process flow.
