The fifth edition of the Infomediu Europa Magazine Awards Gala, held at the end of last year, designated the RoRec Association as winner for its involvement in the environment protection field. Thus, the competition jury evaluated the over 220 events conducted in 2011, while also considering the votes of the local environmental agencies, county commissions of the National Environmental Guard, environmental NGOs and environment departments of various institutions.

The award is an additional recognition of the main projects that RoRec developed in 2011 as well, including the National RoRec Collection Centers Network, the national WEEE collection campaign “Waste doesn’t belong at home. Take it for a hike!”, special projects carried out in partnership with the City Halls of district 4 and 6 or the Recycling Patrol educational program conducted last year as a pilot project in Timisoara and resumed nationwide in 2011-2012.
