The pilot project for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection conducted by the Romanian Recycling Association RoRec in cooperation with the City Hall of district 4, together with Bosch as partner, has come to an end. Launched in district 4 of the Capital this June, the collection campaign attracted over 1,100 inhabitants, who brought more than 16,600 kilograms of WEEE to the fixed and mobile collection centers.

Thus, over 5,000 kilograms of WEEE were collected during the campaign’s first stage alone and other over 4,000 kilograms were brought in by citizens during the second stage. More than 7.6 tons were collected in the third stage of the campaign, of which 2.1 tons in the last weekend of the campaign alone.

Over 1,100 citizens from Bucharest brought waste to the fixed collection points or to the mobile teams. 30 citizens were rewarded with prizes – sets of washing machines and irons – offered by Bosch, as partner at the three raffles.

The winners of the last raffle are: Vlad Herescu, Loredana Ardeleanu, Mariana Olteanu, Merve Bulbul, Ioana Clain, Ilie Daniel Ditu, Elena Preoteasa, Ionica Petre, Elena Drapeca and Florentina Soare.
