The WEEE collection activities that the RoRec Association and the City Hall of district 4 initiated on June 18th continue until September 3rd. The campaign will end with a raffle that will decide the last 10 winners of the prizes offered by our partner Bosch on September 9th, at the RoRec booth from the first edition of the Public Utilities Fair – TUP 2011, pavilion C2, Romexpo Exhibition Complex.
12.67 tons of WEEE have been collected to date both at the fixed collection points arranged in the 12 areas from district 4 and through the mobile teams. More details about the initiative or the free pick-up of heavy or large waste from home are available by calling one of the phone numbers at the call-center that will be operational throughout the project. The participants can call the fixed phone number 021.232.7182 Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 04:00 p.m. and the mobile phone number 0744.339936 Monday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 04:00 p.m..
The pilot-project from district 4, launched on June 18th, shall be carried out over a 12-week period. Thus, the sector was split into 12 areas, covered by the collection teams based on a schedule announced weekly in the area where the event takes place. Two fixed collection points, as well as mobile teams that will cover the established routes will be located in the collection area every Saturday. The RoRec teams can also be asked to do free pick-ups of heavy or large appliances from home.
The last two areas where the WEEE collection activities will take place cover Sos. Oltenitei – Bd. Metalurgiei – Turnu Magurele (fixed collection points can be found in the Aparatorii Patriei Market and in the parking lot from the Piata Progresul farmers market) – on August 27th and Bd. Dimitrie Cantemir – Bd. Gheorghe Sincai – Splaiul Unirii (fixed collection points will be available in the Mega Image parking lot – Tineretului/Sincai area and at the Timpuri Noi subway stop) – on August 3rd.
The citizens from district 4 who decided to dispose of this waste responsibly have already been rewarded in raffles with prizes consisting of 20 sets of Bosch household appliances sets made of washing machines and irons. At the last raffle of this event that will take place on September 9th, Bosch Siemens Electrocasnice – founding member of the RoRec Association – will offer another 10 sets of prizes that can be won in a draw by those who dropped-off WEEE during this month of the campaign.
