The Recycling Patrols and the week "Learning differently"… that is better

During the week “Learning differently” in schools, the Recycling Patrols taught a lot of people how to do things … differently. That is, better: to collect e-waste separately and take it to recycling instead of throwing it carelessly, to become aware of the impact upon nature of their daily habits, to assume responsibility within their community.

We are proud of our projects posted on Facebook. We invite you to discover them and let yourselves inspired by them. We would like to briefly present some of the projects that you will not find on the social network.

The Patrol of the School in Ipotesti (Suceava County), coordinated by the teacher Liviu Luchian, organized an information event where they invited the local representative of RoRec Association Cătălina Biholar. The agents wore outfits personalized with Recycling Patrol posters and distributed informative flyers within the community, explaining the role of this project and the importance of WEEE recycling.

In Botoșani County, the teacher Aurica Borsan and the students of the High School ”Queen Mary” in Dorohoi collected almost 1 ton of WEEE with the help of the inhabitants of the town. Together with RoRec’s representative, Simona Ghiga, they won the support of the Town Hall, that contributed with a tent for collection.

Mrs Ioana Gabriela Kadar, coordinating teacher of the Recycling Patrol in the School of Seini, Maramureș County, set up a workshop to create the mascot of the Patrol and organized a collection action where they collected around 300 kg of WEEE.

The children in Brasov gave as good as they got.  The members of the Recycling Patrol in Kindergarten no 22 “Little prince” in Brasov watched a movie about the separate collection and recycling and answered a lot of questions, under the supervision of their teacher Mrs Alina Taran. Our local representative, Mihaela Sima, who attended the class, was very impressed when the little team started to sing the Patrol’s anthem!

We invite all the other teams to post on their account or on the Recycling Patrol’s Facebook page their ecological initiatives within the week “Learning differently”.  We congratulate all those who availed themselves of this opportunity to show that “school” means knowledge, responsibility and respect.
